Ferry Visserskaai - Oosteroever

Free ferry service between the city centre (Visserskaai) and the 'Oosteroever' (Maritiem Plein). There are four ferries operating in both Nieuwpoort and Ostend. These have been named Roger Raveel, Het Rode Vierkant op de Zee and De Nieuwe Visie. The fourth and newest ferry, ‘Raveel ontmoet Ensor’, is fully electric and can carry significantly more passengers.

The ferry service can currently carry a maximum of 50 people, including up to 20 bicycles, and is wheelchair accessible. The new ferry ‘Raveel Meets Ensor’ can currently carry a maximum of 100 people, including up to 40 bicycles, and is also fully wheelchair accessible. These numbers may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances. Disembark after crossing is obligatory!
