Van Iseghemlaan & Leopold II laan
Van Iseghemlaan was once the place to be for a terrific night out, and you can still have a great time there today. It’s also great for shopping.
The ’t Koelschip beer shop caters especially to beer lovers and, a little further down the street – in Koningsstraat – you will find the best whiskey bar in all of Belgium, The Green Man. The valhalla to all Ostend fashionistas Pied de Poule is located in Van Iseghemlaan. You will find Vitrine Lulu Store on the other side of the Kursaal Casino, featuring clothing for women with character. Further down the street be sure to stop by Sofism.
If you follow the motorway, you will end up at Leopold II-laan. This street features several Ostend icons: the statue De Zee (the Sea) – Fat Matilda – by Grard, the floral clock and of course the casino Kursaal Casino.
One of the shops you simply must visit in on this street is L’Oxygène. This genuine shopper’s paradise features a vast offering of Belgian and international fashion labels. Next door you will find Eau 23, which sells primarily Italian brands. Ladies will also be delighted at Julis. With brands like Essentiel and Michael Kors, every shopping spree that passes by here is sure to be a success! La Fille, Julia June and Icons Collections are the newest additions to the shops at Leopold II-laan.
