The Marine Ecological Centre is located about 800 m from Ostend station. The centre hosts a wide range of activities for schools and the general public. These include educational programmes for sea classes, guided beach walks along the entire coast, guided harbour walks, and more. Temporary exhibitions are also organised on a regular basis. A classroom and projection room are available, as well as a picnic area.
