De Grote Post

De Grote Post is the cultural hub of the city. Not only does it fulfill an indispensable role as a supporter in the development and presentation of the professional arts, it also offers a hospitable platform for the many associations, art and culture organizations in Ostend and beyond. De Grote Post is an open house, with a multifunctional infrastructure that functions as a bustling beehive.

The R.T.T.-P.T.T. The building was built between 1947 and 1953, after a design by the Ghent architect Gaston Eysselinck (1907 – 1953). In December 2012, the former post office was officially opened as a new cultural beacon for the city of Ostend under the name De Grote Post. More than 1000 activities take place in this culture house every year.
