Carnaval in Oostende

According to annual tradition, the appointment of the Carnival Prince and Princess takes place at City Hall on Friday evening. Saturday is the carnival day for children. They have their own parade, after which a miniature doll of Tjannie Carbon is set on fire. Vissersplein is the place to be for every child that loves carnival. On Sunday, at 3 pm, the big carnival parade goes through the city. The carnival weekend ends with various activities and concerts in the carnival tent.
