Belle de Jour
For those wishing an alternative for the average seaside restaurant. Belle de Jour serves worldly tastes in a lively atmosphere.
World cuisine combined with fusion recipes, which can really be taken literally. Lots of ingredients and dishes from all over the world, ranging from Asian to Middle Eastern and classic Belgian recipes with a modern twist. Each week, the menu is changed in accordance with the chef’s inspiration. Ideal for those who cannot choose and like to get their taste buds working overtime.
If you like, you can start out with a glass of champagne or Prosecco. In addition, there is an extensive offer of predominantly wines from traditional countries, including a lot of French wines, but also Italian wines from Puglia, Veneto and Tuscany.
The interior radiates warmth and cosiness and can be compared to a traditional brasserie. The large long table in the middle of the restaurant generates a dynamic atmosphere, which is also enhanced by the relaxed and casual service. The staff will be more than happy to provide you with additional information on the exotic ingredients.
Vitello tonato comme il faut consisting of lightly braised veal, home-cooked tonato sauce and capers. But there is also the homemade cold-smoked salmon. In addition, you can order a vegetarian salad with Tabouleh and Halloumi or a piece of Iceland cod with mashed potatoes and sundried tomatoes. The desserts are also given an exotic touch: spicy caramelised pineapple with coconut ice cream or Callebaut chocolate ice cream with caraway seeds.
