In the beautiful Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul you will find the work Im Gebiss der Zeit by the German painter Schwontkowski. He painted directly on the window glass in the vestibule, designed by Michel Martens in the 1950s. Schwontkowski usually paints sober scenes. Here too, he merely puts a few figurative objects on a neutral or modest background, making his work highly contemplative. His glass painting technique allows him to play with space and interact with the glass frame.
