The music department organises many trips to enjoy musical events around London including to the South Bank Centre, London Coliseum and The Barbican Centre. In July 2019 they are putting on an exciting production of Grease in collaboration with the drama department. Last year, the school orchestra went to Birmingham to compete in the finals of Music for Youth. This is the school’s first music tour abroad and we are very exciting to be performing both vocal and instrumental music around the beautiful country of Belgium.

Concert Emmlot

Where:
Wapenplein
When:
Sun 23 Jun 2019

The brass and reed band Emmlot was founded on 1 July 1875. The creation of the brass band 'Eendracht Maakt Macht' ('Unity is Strength') is closely linked to the history of the textile factory 'Scheppers'. Rehearsals and performances also regularly took place in the factory buildings. However, since 1889, the brass band no longer rehearses in the factory but in their own room: the old pavilion. 'Het Paviljoen' (The Pavilion) at Sashoek in Lot is still the rehearsal room for the brass band today. Also, in 2000, the band celebrated its 125 years of existence!
