Sand Sculpture Festival 2020

With just sand and water, artists from around the world create a fantasy world full of magic. The festival is built by 40 professional artists from all around the globe. Not less than 240 trucks of special sand is sculpted during one month of preparation, on an area of 10,000m², creating a visitors circuit that takes one hour to complete, with 150 sculptures from 2 to 6 meters high to discover. The Sand Sculpture Festival is officially the largest festival of its kind in the world (Guinness Book of Records 2010). The trail is approximately 1 kilometer or 0,6 miles and the visit takes about 1 hour.

North Sea Beer Festival 2020

Ostend invites beer lovers from near and far to the North Sea Beer Festival being held over the last weekend in August 2019. Approximately 30 Belgian breweries and beer firms will be showcasing more than 200 Belgian speciality beers. There will be plenty of opportunity to sample some of the country’s better-known beers, and to discover many new brews, including several limited editions, as you explore the marquees dotted around the park. Alongside this extensive range of beers, food fans will find plenty to tickle their taste buds too. Several highly rated Ostend food trucks are keen to introduce you to their best dishes and will be cooking on the festival site.
