Concert Emmlot

Wapenplein
When:
Sun 23 Jun 2019

The brass and reed band Emmlot was founded on 1 July 1875. The creation of the brass band 'Eendracht Maakt Macht' ('Unity is Strength') is closely linked to the history of the textile factory 'Scheppers'. Joseph Huysmans, who was in charge of the factory, was a member of the board and the protective committee of the brass band. Rehearsals and performances also regularly took place in the factory buildings. However, since 1889, the brass band no longer rehearses in the factory but in their own room: the old pavilion. 'Het Paviljoen' (The Pavilion) at Sashoek in Lot is still the rehearsal room for the brass band today. Also, in 2000, the band celebrated its 125 years of existence!
