Concert East Riding Senior Wind Band and Jazz Orchestra

Repertoire is wide and varied, ranging from original wind band works to arrangements of film and pop music. Since it was formed, the ERSWB has undertaken foreign tours to Paris, Germany, Belgium, the French Alps, Croatia and the Rhineland. The band also undertakes a series of concerts at various venues throughout the year. The youth jazz orchestra consists of the standard big band line-up of saxes, trumpets, trombones and rhythm section. The band perform a number of concerts throughout the year. They have also undertaken foreign tours alongside the Senior Wind Band.

Concert Simon Balle School Department

The Simon Balle School Music Department is very busy and active within the school and local area. One in three of the school learns an instrument and our ensembles perform to a high standard. The Big Band have performed at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London and the ensembles are regular performers at Ghent Fest in Belgium every year.

Concert The Brine Leas School Choir and Band

The Brine Leas School Choir and band is made up of students aged 11 to 17 who have a passion for music and singing. They have a broad repertoire from sacred music to rock and enjoy performing at a wide range of events. They regularly perform at community and charity events and the choir have even performed at a wedding or two! The choir and band had a very successful tour to Venice in July 2018, where they performed at several venues and enjoyed the sights of the beautiful city. They have also competed in several music competitions, regularly reaching the final stages and even winning. The students in both the choir and band demonstrate amazing commitment, rehearsing at lunch and after school and display a real passion for music and performing.

Concert Brassband Zele

Brassband Zele (a city near Ghent) is made up of 30 enthusiastic and talented brass players and percussionists. The society was founded on 8 October 1995 with the intention of familiarizing the locals with the typical brass band sound and to compete in annual music competitions. Led by Gert D'haese as musical director, the band won the title of Provincial and National Hafabra (a collective term for several wind groups; such as concert bands, brass and reed bands and brass bands) champion in the 'Honour' section in 1998 and 1999. In 2001, Brassband Zele won the "World Music Competition" in Kerkrade, in the 2nd section. In 2003, Bart Van Der Strieckt, one of the creators of the band, took over the baton. Led by the new musical director, the advance continued and Brassband Zele won the National Brass Band Competition in 1st section in 2010. In 2013, they won the English Scaba Autumn Contest in Crawley thanks to which they received the "Zeelse Cultuurprijs" (a cultural award presented by the city of Zele to people, both in and outside Zele, who have distinguished themselves culturally). Since 2011, they have been competing against the best belgian bands to win the national title in the highest "Champions" series at the annual Brass Band Competition organized by Vlamo (the Flemish association for amateur musicians).

Concert Bury Youth Concert and Orchestra

Bury Youth Orchestra was founded over 30 years ago and has grown from strength to strength over the years, performing all over the UK and abroad.Highlights in the past few years have included performing at the National Finals of the Music For Youth at Birmingham Symphony Hall and at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. The Youth Orchestra have enjoyed working with partners across the Greater Manchester region, sharing their music with the whole community, in particular inspiring the younger generation of future musicians. Bury Youth Concert Band has been running for 25 years and in that time has seen hundreds of talented young musicians come through its ranks. The band is one of the Senior ensembles at Bury Music Service and is made up of young people from the many different schools across the town. The Band rehearses on Saturday mornings and gives many concert performances throughout the year, recently including carols at Manchester Piccadilly Station and an evening at the prestigious Royal Northern College of Music.

Koninklijke Stadsharmonie Oostende (the City Brass and Reed band of Ostend) was founded in 1850 and used to be known under the name of 'Société Euterpe'. In the past, the band mainly provided a happy element to the summers in Ostend. Because of this, it receives protocol as well as festive assignments. In addition to the well-known classics, the band now also performs works specifically composed for the orchestra.

Concert Macclesfield Youth Brass Band

Macclesfield Youth Brass Band (MYBB) was formed in September 2005. We are a registered charity , a partner of the Love Music Trust and a member of Making Music. MYBB currently has over 120 members aged between 7 and 19 years old. We have a Youth band, a Junior band and a Training band. All of our tutors and helpers give their time and expertise on a voluntary basis. We pride ourselves on our modern and dynamic approach. We know that young people love playing in bands, they love the music, the team spirit and the social side too so we provide the best experiences we can to keep them motivated and committed to a hobby which relies on their commitment. MYBB has gained recognition for many innovative projects designed to encourage inclusion in music making for all children. These include our asthma scheme in conjunction with the paediatric respiratory department at Macclesfield General Hospital and initiatives to support children with special educational or physical needs.
