Ostendaise - North Sea Food Fest
On Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 June, Ostend chefs once again get creative with fish and shellfish from the North Sea. A gastronomic top event for all gourmets, both young and old!

On 15 August you're invited to a fireworks display on the beach in Ostend-Mariakerke to celebrate Assumption Day (15 August).
The shrimp croquettes festival 2023 - SOLD OUT
On 14th and 15th October, restaurants from Ostend will be presenting their own traditional shrimp croquette. However, there are no winners without tasters so a public jury will vote for its golden shrimp croquette while a professional jury will vote for their favourite. The Seamen's Memorial (1953) can be found on the Zeeheldenplein. Each year the numerous fishermen from Oostende who died at sea are commemorated. This was also the location of the first lighthouse in Oostende (1771).
