Even more than usual, "partying" is synonymous with the Langestraat on 30 June & 1 July. What to expect? Fresh beers and cocktails, great ambiance, goodies for foodies, Ostend bands and DJs and an amazing afterparty in the cafes! Access to the Summer Kick-Off is still completely free.

On 21 July you're invited to a traditional fireworks display on the Main Beach to celebrate the Belgian National Holiday (July 21st).

Seamen's Memorial
The Seamen's Memorial (1953) can be found on the Zeeheldenplein. Each year the numerous fishermen from Oostende who died at sea are commemorated. This was also the location of the first lighthouse in Oostende (1771).
