Adolf Buylstraat
Adolf Buylstraat was formerly called Weststraat and some of Ostend’s older residents still call it by this name. The first thing you should do when entering Adolf Buylstraat is to cast your gaze upward. There are quite a few beautiful Belle Époque façades lining this unique shopping street, which features trendy chains interspersed with some marvellous little boutiques. A wonderful street for a little promenade!
Trendy and classic
Carrying everything from jeans and sweatshirts to beanies, Converse sneakers and even iPod covers, the America Today chain store branch on Adolf Buylstraat is housed in a genuine restored chapel. A branch of the trendy Scotch&Soda shops was also established on this street recently.
Shop for some shoes to go with your new outfit at Paris Londres, and look for a pair of ultra-modern glasses or fashionable shades at ioSophie.
Marie-José Square and Hendrik Serruyslaan
Continuing along Adolf Buylstraat you will encounter Marie-José Square and Hendrik Serruyslaan. Here, you will find a wide range of shops, including a number of local heroes such as Lingerie Delphine, Karnel, Deweert and Optiek Demuynck.
Hertstraat
It will certainly be worth your while to turn onto Hertstraat, a side street of Adolf Buylstraat. You will be sure to find a great outfit at Lily, leaving the shop with a big smile on your face: cute dresses, fantastic and colourful accessories. Something for everyone!
